Qatar condemns attack on Khartoum Airport
Doha, May 5 (Hibya) - Qatar condemned the targeting of a facility near Khartoum International Airport in Sudan with drones and expressed support for Sudan’s sovereignty.
The State of Qatar condemned the targeting by drones of a facility located on the grounds of Khartoum International Airport in the friendly country of Sudan.
Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack as a clear violation of Sudan’s sovereignty and an act contrary to international law and the United Nations Charter.
The statement said attacks on civilian targets and critical infrastructure are categorically rejected, while expressing full support for Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and stability.
Qatar also reiterated its call for resolving the conflict in Sudan through dialogue and peaceful means, emphasizing that it will continue to support the country in achieving its goals of peace, development, and stability.
