Qatar condemns hospital attack in Sudan
Doha, April 5 (Hibya) – Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned an attack on a hospital in Sudan and emphasized the importance of international law.
Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding an attack carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Jabalain City Hospital in Sudan’s White Nile state.
The statement said, “The State of Qatar condemns and strongly rejects the attack targeting Jabalain City Hospital in the White Nile state of the Republic of Sudan.”
The ministry noted that the attack resulted in the deaths and injuries of civilians and healthcare personnel, stating that “targeting a hospital is a clear violation of international humanitarian law.”
The statement also stressed the importance of protecting healthcare facilities and called on the international community to take urgent action to safeguard civilians.
Qatar expressed condolences to the families of the victims, conveyed its support to the Sudanese people, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
