Qatari Emir Sheikh Al Sani meets with Egyptian President Sisi
Doha, April 14 (Hibya) – Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Sani met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who was visiting the country. A joint statement was issued following the meeting.
According to the joint statement by Qatar and Egypt, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi paid an official visit to Doha on April 13–14 as part of both sides' commitment to strengthening the solid brotherly relations, historical ties, and enhancing multi-level consultation and coordination between the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The talks between Emir Sheikh Al Sani and President Sisi took place in an atmosphere of brotherhood and understanding, reflecting the depth, strength, and mutual trust of the bilateral relations. Discussions focused on promoting multi-sector cooperation to advance shared interests and open new horizons for integration and partnership.
Stressing the importance of enhancing economic cooperation, both sides agreed to continue joint efforts to encourage investment and economic exchange that reflect the political will of both nations and serve the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples for sustainable economic development.
In this context, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the economic partnership and working on the implementation of a direct Qatari investment package totaling USD 7.5 billion in the coming phase.
