Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with Speaker of Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in the Iranian capital Tehran.

According to a statement by Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting addressed developments in the region as well as efforts to reduce tensions and create suitable conditions for the resumption of dialogue.

Al-Thani emphasized the need to restart the diplomatic process, stating that dialogue is the best way to resolve differences in the region and prevent further escalation.
