Havana, March 22 (Hibya) - Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla stated that Cuba is open to a serious and responsible dialogue with the United States, but this must be conducted on the basis of mutual respect and without interference in the internal affairs or political, economic, and social systems of either side.

Minister Rodriguez also stated that the United States is trying to force Cuba to abandon its sovereignty and independence through economic pressure, but such attempts are doomed to fail.
Reiterating that Cuba will firmly defend its sovereignty, Rodriguez also stressed that they will oppose the recent U.S. restrictions targeting the country’s energy supply.
