Dutch Defense Minister Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius made assessments regarding Europe’s changing security architecture and the Netherlands’ role in this process.

Emphasizing the importance of preparedness and defense investments, Yeşilgöz-Zegerius said: “We must ensure the safety of the Dutch people ourselves. That is why we are investing in defense.”

Arguing that Europe should have a more active military capacity on a global scale, Minister Yeşilgöz said: “As Europe, we are one of the important players on the world stage, and we must be able to defend ourselves and take responsibility.”
