Rubio: We will always stand by our partners in the face of bullying
Washington, April 2 (Hibya) - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio criticized China’s restrictive actions against Panama-flagged ships, stating that the United States supports Panama’s sovereignty.
U.S. Secretary of State Rubio criticized China’s decisions to detain or otherwise obstruct Panama-flagged ships. Rubio noted that such practices destabilize supply chains, increase costs, and undermine confidence in the global trade system.
Rubio emphasized that the United States stands with Panama against any retaliation targeting its sovereignty, stating, “We will always stand by our partners in the face of bullying.”
