Russell: We demand the lifting of the aid blockade
New York, May 2 (Hibya) – UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell called for the lifting of the aid blockade.
Catherine Russell, Executive Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), called for the lifting of the aid blockade.
Russell said:
"Due to the two-month-long aid blockade in Gaza, children are increasingly facing hunger, disease, and the risk of death; nothing can justify this. We once again demand the lifting of the blockade, the entry of commercial goods, the release of hostages, and the protection of children."
