Saar: We completely reject the EU sanctions
Jerusalem, May 11 (Hibya) - Israeli Foreign Minister Saar strongly rejected the European Union’s sanctions decision targeting Israeli settlers, describing it as “political and baseless” and stating that the decision is unacceptable.
Saar made a strong statement regarding the European Union’s sanctions decision targeting Israeli citizens and organizations.
Saar stated that they “categorically reject” the sanctions decision taken by the EU, arguing that the move was driven by political views and had no legitimate basis.
Criticizing the EU’s approach, Saar also described the comparison made between Israeli citizens and Hamas as “intolerable” and “morally distorted.”
The minister emphasized that Israel would continue to defend the historical and legal rights of its people over the land and stated that political pressure through sanctions is unacceptable and will not yield results.
The statement came following new EU sanctions measures related to violence and settler activities in the region.
