Sanchez: It is an honor to present the Civil Merit Award to Francesca Albanese
Madrid, May 7 (Hibya) - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez presented the Civil Merit Award to United Nations (UN) Special Rapporteur for Palestine Francesca Albanese.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez honored Francesca Albanese for her work in the occupied Palestinian territories and her approach to the humanitarian situation.
Highlighting the ethical dimension of public responsibility, Sanchez said, “Public responsibility also includes a moral obligation not to look away.”
Presenting the award to Albanese, Sanchez stated, “It is an honor to present the Civil Merit Award to a voice that keeps the conscience of the world alive, United Nations Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, in the occupied Palestinian territories.”
