Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof announced that Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman will be on an official visit to the Netherlands today and tomorrow.

Schoof said: "Traditionally, the Sultan was welcomed with an honor guard at Dam Square in Amsterdam by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima. This evening, I will also participate in the official dinner that will be held here at the Royal Palace. Tomorrow, I will host Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in a special location at Duivenvoorde Castle in Voorschoten – for a government dinner. This is an integral part of an official state visit, and on this occasion, representatives of our governments will discuss the cooperation between our countries."
