Stubb visited the Padvarionys border crossing with Lithuanian President Nauseda
Vilnius, May 15 (Hibya) - Finnish President Alexander Stubb announced that, as part of his state visit to Lithuania, he visited the Padvarionys border crossing together with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda.
Finnish President Alexander Stubb spoke about the joint determination of the two countries regarding border security and cooperation in border management.
Sharing his assessments regarding the scope of the visit and the protection of borders, Stubb said: “Finland and Lithuania have acted decisively to secure their borders.”
Drawing attention to his observations in the region and the information he received from officials, Stubb concluded his statement by saying: “During the visit, I received information about border control, the activities of the Border Guard School, and incidents of harassment at the border.”
