Rome, August 11 (Hibya) – Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani condemned the attack on a French tourist of Jewish faith in Rome for wearing a kippah and expressed support for the victim and the Jewish community.

Tajani said he strongly condemned the antisemitic attack on the French tourist, who was targeted in central Rome for wearing a kippah.
Emphasizing that antisemitism and hatred toward Jews must not be allowed to find a place in cities and society, Tajani said that people must act together against such incidents.
Tajani said that Italy stands for religious freedom, respect and coexistence, adding that these values will be protected.
