Trump says he is considering a limited military strike on Iran
Washington, February 21 (Hibya) - U.S. President Donald Trump said he is considering launching a limited military strike on Iran to pressure its leaders into reaching an agreement to curb the nuclear program.
The president made the remarks in response to a reporter’s question, hours after officials raised the possibility of an attack.
On Thursday, Trump said it would become clear “probably within the next 10 days” whether an agreement would be reached or whether the United States would take military action. The U.S. has increased its military presence in the region in recent weeks.
The United States and its European allies suspect that Iran is moving toward developing a nuclear weapon, a claim Iran has consistently denied.
