Turkish President Erdoğan and UK Prime Minister Starmer hold talks
Ankara, March 7 (Hibya) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer; bilateral relations, regional conflicts, and peace efforts were discussed.
Turkish President Erdoğan held a phone call with UK Prime Minister Starmer. During the call, Türkiye–United Kingdom bilateral relations, the conflict process in our region, as well as regional and global issues were discussed.
President Erdoğan emphasized that the determination to develop Türkiye–United Kingdom cooperation in every field, especially in the defense industry, remains strong, stating that steps will continue to be taken to further advance this cooperation.
Erdoğan also stated that Türkiye is closely following the developments that began with the attacks on Iran. The President warned that if the interventions are prolonged, they could cause serious damage to regional and global stability, adding that there are still opportunities to establish a basis for dialogue and that peace-focused efforts continue.
