UAE Ministry of Defense reports interception of 16 ballistic missiles
Abu Dhabi, March 8 (Hibya) – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Defense reported that the UAE’s air defense systems intercepted 16 ballistic missiles and 113 unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to a statement from the UAE Ministry of Defense, the country’s air defense systems detected 17 ballistic missiles today; 16 of them were destroyed, while one missile fell into the sea. In addition, a total of 117 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were detected; 113 of them were intercepted, while four UAVs fell on the country’s territory.
The ministry’s statement noted that since the beginning of the Iranian attacks, 238 ballistic missiles have been detected, of which 221 were destroyed, 15 fell into the sea, and two landed on the country’s territory.
The statement also reported that a total of 1,422 Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles were detected, of which 1,342 were intercepted, while 80 fell on the country’s territory. According to the statement, eight cruise missiles were also detected and destroyed.
