Ukrainian President Zelensky stated that he had a phone call with Chancellor Scholz and thanked him for Germany's leadership in supporting Ukraine, particularly for strengthening air defense capabilities with Patriot and IRIS-T systems.

Zelensky emphasized that they discussed decisive joint steps that could further enhance Ukraine's self-defense capabilities, saying, "It is crucial to increase pressure on Russia and strengthen Ukraine's positions on all fronts to force the aggressor into genuine peace."

Zelensky also mentioned that Scholz shared details of his meeting with Putin, adding, "It is clear that the only force capable of compelling the person responsible for this war to end it is the power of weapons and diplomacy. True peace can only be achieved through strength."
