UNICEF Director Russell Thanks Uzbekistan
New York, May 27 (Hibya) – Catherine Russell, Executive Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), made a statement after meeting with the Chairwoman of the Senate of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbaeva.

Russell referred to the joint efforts to improve children’s living conditions in Uzbekistan and thanked Narbaeva for her leadership in advancing children's rights.
"We had a productive meeting where we discussed our joint efforts to improve the lives of children in Uzbekistan," said Russell, adding that UNICEF's support for the country will continue.
