US: 83 commercial ships redirected under blockade in Gulf of Oman
Washington, August 31 (Hibya) - The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that as of August 30, 83 commercial ships had been redirected, 3 ships had been disabled and 2 ships had been boarded as part of the blockade against Iran.
CENTCOM issued a statement on activities being carried out in the Gulf of Oman as part of what it said was a blockade imposed against Iran.
A post on CENTCOM's social media account said that the USS Delbert D. Black (DDG 119) was underway in the Gulf of Oman. The post included footage of a US Marine directing an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter onto the ship's flight deck.
CENTCOM reported that as of August 30, 83 commercial ships had been redirected, 3 commercial ships had been disabled and 2 ships had been boarded as part of the enforcement of the blockade.
