Brussels, September 28 (Hibya) - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said Europe is moving forward with five major joint projects in the field of defense.

Von der Leyen said in a post on social media that the projects focus on drones, air defense, space, maritime security and the security of Europe’s eastern flank.
Von der Leyen said these areas are vital to European security and that swift action is needed, adding: “Together, we are turning ambition into action. For a stronger, safer Europe.”
