Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said one person was killed and six others were injured in an attack on the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv.

Zelenski said three children were among the injured and that emergency service teams were continuing their work at the scene.

Zelenski said in a post on social media that Russia had also attacked the building of a medical facility in the center of the capital and that rescue teams were working to extinguish the resulting fire.

Zelenski argued that every attack means losses that could be prevented if pressure on Russia were comprehensive, saying that pressure should be increased on those who finance and produce the weapons used by Russia.

Zelenski said, “The world must understand that if the terrorists are not stopped here, in Ukraine, they will go further.”

Zelenski said they were counting on the support of Europe, the United States and other partners, noting that this support could help protect lives.
