Brussels, March 1 (Hibya) - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, conveying a message of de-escalation in the region and strengthening the strategic partnership.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen made a statement regarding her meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Reiterating their support for Saudi Arabia during the turbulent period in the region, von der Leyen said: “I have just spoken with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. As our strategic partner, we will work closely with you to preserve regional stability and reduce tensions.”
Von der Leyen concluded her statement by saying: “You can count on our full support in these turbulent times. The partnership between the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council will be further strengthened in the coming period.”
