Zelensky: Additional repair teams assigned for Kyiv
Kyiv, Jan. 19 (Hibya) — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a coordination meeting over the crisis in the energy system caused by Russian attacks and winter conditions.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he had held an energy coordination meeting to protect and stabilize the country’s energy infrastructure.
Speaking about the regions in focus, Zelensky said: “I held an energy coordination meeting with particular focus on the regions where the situation is most difficult. These include Kyiv and its surroundings (especially Bila Tserkva, Vasylkiv and Boryspil), Kharkiv and its surroundings, Zaporizhzhia, cities in the Dnipro region (Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih), Chernihiv and its surroundings, the Sumy region, and Odesa and its surroundings.”
Noting that additional resources had been mobilized to address the situation in the capital Kyiv, Zelensky said: “Additional repair teams from other regions have been assigned for Kyiv, and workers from Ukrzaliznytsia and other state-owned companies are also providing assistance. The Energy Minister briefed on the pace of repair work and special measures aimed at stabilizing the energy system.”
After receiving reports from defense and air force commanders, Zelensky stated: “The Defense Minister provided information on the current situation regarding the supply volumes of interceptor drones and the downing of Russian drones; the agreed supply volumes will be reached.”
