Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he discussed with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen the strategy for significantly strengthening Ukraine's resilience.

Zelensky noted that the European Commission will support the repair of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, assist in its reconstruction, and strengthen the protection of the network ahead of the coming winter. Zelensky added:

"This is one of the most important outcomes of our discussions yesterday, and its importance cannot be overstated, especially given that Russia continues its attempts to destroy normal life in Ukraine. Together, we can provide reliable electricity supply, decentralized production, and repair of damaged facilities to support our people."
