Zelensky: If Russia does not target energy infrastructure, we will not retaliate
Kyiv, March 30 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that they will not retaliate if Russia refrains from targeting energy infrastructure and emphasized openness to any ceasefire.
President Zelensky said that Ukraine carries out strikes only in response to Russian attacks.
He emphasized that since the global energy crisis began, they have received signals from some partners to reduce retaliatory strikes targeting Russia’s oil and energy sector, and said: “I emphasize once again: if Russia is not ready to target Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, we will not strike their energy infrastructure either.”
Zelensky stated that they are open to ceasefire options: “We are ready to discuss any type of ceasefire — a full ceasefire, an energy ceasefire, or a food security ceasefire. We have already proposed all of these and remain open. If Russia is ready, let it propose any timeframe; we are ready to resolve this issue.”
