Zelensky: Oil refinery in Russia hit
Kyiv, August 28 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an oil refinery in the Yaroslavl region, while a Tu-95MS missile-carrying aircraft was targeted in the city of Engels.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a statement that members of the Ukrainian Defense Forces had struck an oil refinery in the Yaroslavl region over the past 24 hours. Zelensky said the site was located approximately 1,000 kilometers from the front line.
Zelensky said Ukrainian forces had also responded to Russian attacks in the Black Sea. He stated that members of the Alpha unit of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) targeted a Tu-95MS missile-carrying aircraft in the Russian city of Engels that had been used in attacks against Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Zelensky thanked Ukrainian soldiers for their precise operations, stating that the strikes were carried out in response to Russia’s attacks on Ukraine. Zelensky said Russia must feel the consequences of the war it is waging.
