Zelensky: Unless there is enough pressure on Russia, it will continue the war
Kyiv, April 14 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia will continue the war unless there is sufficiently strong pressure on it.
President Zelensky recalled that thirty-four days ago, Ukraine responded positively to the United States’ proposal for a full and unconditional ceasefire.
He noted that during these thirty-four days, Russia has continued to openly reject the ceasefire. “Putin is focused on continuing the war. Russian state propagandists are preparing their people for the idea that diplomacy will not yield any results. There is only one reason for this: there is no fear in Moscow,” he said.
Zelensky added, “Unless there is enough pressure on Russia, they will continue doing what they are used to—carrying on with the war. We all want this to end. Peace is needed—a lasting peace. That is why Ukraine is working constructively with its partners in every format that can bring security and restore peace.”
