Kyiv, August 24 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that a joint prayer attended by people of different denominations and faiths was held at Saint Sophia Cathedral.

In a post on his social media account, Zelenskyy said that people of different denominations and faiths were closely united spiritually, adding that this unity gives strength to Ukraine in its daily struggle to defend its values and its country.
Zelenskyy said that together with representatives of the clergy, they prayed for peace and an end to the war, as well as for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. He noted that the prayers also remembered the country’s defenders, those waiting to return home and the blessing of Ukraine.
Zelenskyy concluded his post by thanking everyone who keeps Ukrainians in their prayers.
