Azerbaijani President Aliyev held a telephone conversation with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Mirziyoyev congratulated Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on the upcoming Ramadan and Nowruz holidays.

Aliyev also congratulated Mirziyoyev and the people of Uzbekistan on the holidays and wished prosperity and well-being to Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, the strategic allied relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan were discussed, and satisfaction was expressed with the development of cooperation in all areas.

The sides expressed concern over the current situation in the Middle East and emphasized that tensions should be resolved through political and diplomatic means.
