Bahreyni: We are ready to continue our defense until the aggressors are punished
Geneva, March 5 (Hibya) – Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations Ali Bahreyni stated that Iran is exercising its right of self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter against attacks by the United States and Israel, calling on the international community to act within the framework of law.
According to CCTV, Iran’s UN Ambassador Ali Bahreyni spoke to journalists in Geneva about the recently escalating tensions and the attacks by the US and Israel.
Bahreyni pointed out that the attacks began precisely at a time when the nuclear agreement had reached the signing stage.
Stating that instead of holding technical talks in Vienna this week, “war was imposed” on his country, Bahreyni said that Iran would respond strongly.
Bahreyni said: “Based on these preparations, we are ready to continue our defense until the end, until this war ends and the aggressors are punished. We have full confidence in the ability of our military forces to sustain this defense to the end and to stop and punish the aggressors.”
