Israeli army identifies journalist as Hamas terrorist
Stockholm, June 10 (Hibya) - The Israeli military has accused a journalist in a press vest of working for Al Jazeera after he allegedly held three hostages in his home.
The accusation comes after the Israeli army released four hostages in Nuseirat in Gaza on Saturday.
The Israeli army wrote on the social platform X that the press vest could not cover up the fact that the man was a terrorist and asked Al Jazeera what the man was doing for the media.
Al Jazeera denied on X that the journalist worked for them, saying he contributed to a discussion article published in 2019. The media also claims that these accusations are another Israeli attempt to undermine Al Jazeera's reputation and professionalism.
The Israeli government had previously shut down Al Jazeera's presence in Israel because it believed the media was biased in its coverage of the war in Gaza. Al Jazeera denied this.
