Merz: Germany stands with its NATO allies
Berlin, May 29 (Hibya) - German Chancellor Friedrich Merz emphasized NATO's commitment to collective defense.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz made a statement regarding a Russian drone targeting Romania, alliance solidarity, and NATO's defense strategies.
Highlighting the risks posed by the attack, Merz said: "Russia's reckless drone attack against Romania once again shows that Russia is prepared to escalate tensions. Germany stands with its NATO allies."
Referring to the need to strengthen regional security, Merz stated: "This incident once again underlines the need for a strong NATO posture on the Eastern Flank. We are ready to defend every inch of Allied territory."
