European Parliament President Metsola stated that the Iranian people deserve to live freely.

Noting that the Parliament will continue its efforts to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization, Metsola said: “This means further weakening the Guards’ ability to operate with impunity, disrupting their cash flows and methods of operation, and underlining that they will find no safe haven.”

Metsola added: “Equally important, this will send a powerful message to the brave Iranians on the streets that Europe hears them, stands with them, and is taking action against their torturers.”
