Orban: We will not send soldiers, weapons or money to a war that is not ours
Budapest, March 11 (Hibya) – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated that they will continue to provide humanitarian aid to Ukrainian refugees but will maintain their firm stance of not giving military or financial support to a war to which Hungary is not a party.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban made a statement about his country’s stance on the Russia-Ukraine war and its approach toward refugees.
Referring to Hungary’s humanitarian assistance policy, Orban said: “As a Christian country, Hungary helps those in need. Ukrainians can work here and their children can receive education in their own language.”
Drawing a clear line regarding the military and economic dimensions of the war, Orban stated: “We are doing everything we can to help, but we will not send soldiers, weapons or money to a war that is not ours. This is our position.”
Orban emphasized his determination in foreign policy by saying: “We will not compromise on our stance.”
