Pakistan PM Sharif calls for ceasefire and diplomacy in the Middle East
Islamabad, April 7 (Hibya) – Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on all parties to implement a ceasefire and engage in dialogue, noting that diplomatic efforts to end the ongoing war in the Middle East are continuing.
Sharif stated that ongoing initiatives for a peaceful solution have the potential to produce concrete results and requested US President Donald Trump to extend the deadline by two weeks to allow time for diplomacy.
Sharif also called on Iran, as a goodwill gesture, to reopen the Strait of Hormuz for a two-week period.
Additionally, Sharif urged all parties to declare a two-week ceasefire, emphasizing that this period is crucial for concluding diplomatic efforts and ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.
