Rome, April 21 (Hibya) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni published a message on the anniversary of the death of Pope Francis.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, in her message marking the anniversary of Pope Francis’s death, recalled his emphasis on peace and responsibility.
Meloni said, “A year ago, Pope Francis passed away. His memory is still very much alive.”
Highlighting the Pope’s messages, Meloni stated, “He always reminded us of the value of peace, sensitivity toward the most vulnerable, and responsibility toward others. By speaking in a simple language, he reached both believers and non-believers.”
Prime Minister Meloni added, “It was a privilege for me to know him. His presence at the G7, chaired by Italy, is also a very valuable memory for me.”
Meloni noted that Pope Francis was a figure who left a deep mark on our time, saying, “His message remains relevant today.”
