Statement from the Leaders of the Northern Baltic Eight
Kyiv, February 24 (Hibya) – The leaders of Ukraine and the Northern Baltic Eight issued a joint statement on the third anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine war.
The statement condemned Russia’s ongoing illegal, unjustified, and unjust full-scale military invasion of Ukraine.
It was emphasized that the outcome of the war will have fundamental and long-term effects on European and transatlantic security:
"We reaffirm our unwavering support for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Our main priority is to strengthen Ukraine. We will further increase our support. To achieve a just and lasting peace, Ukraine and Europe must participate in all future negotiations. Ukraine must be provided with strong security guarantees, and Europe must demonstrate leadership. We are interacting with all NATO Allies and EU member states to achieve peace through strength."
