Stubb: Violence against protesters in Iran must end
Helsinki, January 11 (Hibya) — Finnish President Alexander Stubb called on Iranian authorities to respect peaceful protests and release demonstrators who have been unjustly detained.
President Stubb said Iranian authorities should refrain from using violence against their own citizens and respect freedom of expression and the right to peaceful assembly.
Emphasizing that aggression must end, Stubb said, “We demand the release of all protesters who have been unjustly detained.”
