Sybiha: We support Syria's removal from the list of state sponsors of terrorism
Kyiv, August 25 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said they welcomed the United States' decision to remove Syria from the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism after nearly 50 years.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said Ukraine had supported Syria's new leadership and its people following the fall of Bashar al-Assad's government, adding that the decision would accelerate the country's economic progress, encourage investment and contribute to Syria's integration into the regional and global economy.
Sybiha said, "We congratulate the Syrian people on this historic step and look forward to realizing the full potential of our cooperation."
