Syrian Defense Ministry warns against approaching SDF positions
The Syrian Defense Ministry reported that the SDF continues to carry out a military buildup in a specific area together with PKK-linked elements and remnants of the ousted regime.
The Syrian Defense Ministry stated that the SDF, along with PKK-linked elements and remnants of the ousted regime, continues its military buildup in a specific area, announcing that the area has been declared a “closed military zone” as of today.
In a written statement by the ministry, it was noted that military security measures in the region have been increased.
The statement called on civilians to stay away from SDF positions. It also demanded that all armed groups in the area withdraw to the east of the Euphrates River.
It was emphasized that the Syrian Arab Army will take all necessary measures to prevent armed elements gathered in the area from using it for criminal activities and attack operations.
