US reroutes 59 commercial vessels as part of Iran blockade
Washington, August 12 (Hibya) - U.S. Central Command announced that as of August 12, 59 commercial vessels had been rerouted, 3 vessels disabled and 2 vessels boarded as part of enforcing the blockade against Iran.
U.S. Central Command shared footage of an F/A-18 fighter jet taking off from the flight deck of the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier.
In a statement, CENTCOM said the fighter jet was carrying out a mission in support of the U.S. blockade against Iran while the vessel was sailing in regional waters.
According to the statement, as of August 12, U.S. forces had rerouted 59 commercial vessels, disabled 3 vessels and boarded 2 vessels as part of enforcing the blockade.
