Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a statement on the results of the operation carried out against Novorossiysk.

Zelensky said the operation was carried out through the combined use of long-range weapons and was successful. He stated that Palianytsia, Peklo, Bars and Long Neptune systems, as well as various unmanned aerial and maritime vehicles, were used together in the operation.

Zelensky said that, according to verified data, the Russian fleet's Admiral Essen and Admiral Makarov frigates, a large landing ship, a corvette and several other vessels concealed in Novorossiysk Bay were hit.

Zelensky said the operation also targeted other facilities said to help Russia finance the war, arguing that it was fair for Ukraine to respond to Russia's war.

Zelensky said Russia can and must end the war, adding that Ukraine would continue using its long- and medium-range weapons to push Russia toward peace.
