Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said she discussed the attempted hybrid attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

Von der Leyen said the EU stands in full solidarity with Germany over the incident, for which Russia is being held responsible.

In a post on social media, von der Leyen said she discussed the attack at Leipzig Airport with Merz, adding, “I assured him that, in the face of this Russian attack, the EU stands in full solidarity with Germany.”

Von der Leyen said, “Despite these escalating and serious actions, we will keep the EU united. The German government has taken strong measures. And the message is clear: hybrid attacks will not go unanswered. We are united in our determination to stand up to Russian aggression. We will deter anyone who tries to undermine our freedom and security. Russia is trying to spread distrust and fear across our societies. But it will fail. And we will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes. Tomorrow I will discuss this with NATO Secretary General Rutte. And the issue, including additional sanctions, will be prepared by Foreign Ministers at their upcoming meetings under the Irish Presidency.”
