Yotova: The future of medicine is shaped by doctors and healthcare professionals
Kardzhali, August 4 (Hibya) – Bulgarian Vice President Iliana Yotova visited Dr. Atanas Dafovski Multiprofile Hospital (MBAL) in Kardzhali, where she met with healthcare professionals.
Yotova said that the future of medicine depends not only on technology and artificial intelligence but also on doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals who give hope to patients.
During the visit, Yotova toured the brain and vascular disease diagnostic center established under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. She said the center is an example of using European Union funds for the benefit of society. It was also announced that a next-generation mammography device will soon become operational in the imaging department.
Vice President Yotova stressed that the center will enable rapid and effective treatment for patients during the critical period known as the "golden hour." Hospital Director Prof. Todor Cherkezov noted that this was the first visit by a head of state to the hospital in the past 23 years and presented Yotova with the hospital's honorary insignia.
