Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky conveyed details regarding the diplomatic and security processes being carried out in line with the report of Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov.

Listing the main objectives of the talks, Zelensky said, “We hope that a new stage of prisoner releases can be carried out. We are in constant contact with the American side and we know about our partners’ contacts with the Russian side.”

Assessing the peace process and Russia’s stance, Zelensky said, “We are working to ensure that this helps us move even closer to a dignified peace and guarantee security. Unfortunately, we see that the Russian side is not taking a constructive approach even regarding the ceasefire regime.”

Referring to security cooperation and expectations, Zelensky stated, “Third, regarding our cooperation with the US, there are several specific security instructions for the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council. I expect a detailed report after today’s meetings.”
