Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys congratulated Moldovan Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi and the people of Moldova on Independence Day.

Budrys said that at a time when freedom cannot be taken for granted, Moldova has demonstrated a strong commitment to democratic values, reforms and European integration.

Stating that Moldova's strategic choices strengthen not only the country but also the European continent, Budrys said Lithuania is proud to be a reliable friend and partner of Moldova.

Budrys congratulated Moldova on Independence Day, saying that support for Moldova's European future and the growing partnership between the two countries would continue.
