New York, May 12 (Hibya) - United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres made a strong statement regarding the exploitation of Africa’s natural resources.
United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that Africa’s resources have been exploited for years.
Guterres said, “For far too long, Africa’s resources have been extracted, their value captured elsewhere, while environmental damage has been left behind.”
Saying, “No more exploitation. No more plunder,” Guterres emphasized that the people of Africa should benefit from their own resources “first and foremost.”
