US dollar gains value in global markets
Washington, May 13 (Hibya) - The US dollar rose against other currencies during late trading on Tuesday.
A CCTV report stated that the dollar index, which measures the strength of the dollar against six major currencies, increased by 0.35 percent to reach 98.298.
According to data based on trading in the New York market, the euro fell to 1.1741 dollars, while the British pound declined to 1.3532 dollars.
The report also noted that the US dollar rose above the previous session’s levels against the Japanese yen, Swiss franc, Canadian dollar, and Swedish krona.
