Palestinian Foreign Minister Shahin met with representatives of several countries
Barcelona, May 13 (Hibya) – Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin met with representatives of Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, Canada, Spain and Germany following the “Defending Democracy” meeting in Barcelona to discuss the Palestinian issue and international law.
In Ramallah, Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin met with representatives of Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, Canada, Spain and Germany to Palestine.
During the meeting, the outcomes of the “Defending Democracy” meeting held in Barcelona with the participation of 25 countries and international organizations were discussed, and views were exchanged on current agenda topics.
Minister Shahin thanked the representatives for their support for the Palestinian cause on international platforms and for their stance in favor of the two-state solution.
It was noted during the meeting that the Palestinian issue had been raised in many speeches, while emphasizing the importance of international law, the United Nations Charter and the protection of human rights.
Shahin also addressed information platforms and misinformation issues, pointing in particular to the effects of disinformation in the context of the Palestinian narrative.
The representatives of the participating countries reiterated their support for the rights of the Palestinian people and stressed the importance of strengthening international law and peace.
