Russell: Intensive vaccination campaigns continue
New York, May 13 (Hibya) – UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell announced that vaccination campaigns against polio continue in Africa and Asia and that their goal is #EndPolio.
UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell announced that intensive vaccination campaigns continue in polio-priority countries in Africa and Asia with the support of governments, UNICEF, the World Health Organization (WHO) and partners of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI).
Russell emphasized that no child should suffer from preventable diseases, stating: “Together, we will reach every child and achieve #EndPolio.”
